Donji Milanovac
Donji Milanovac is a town in Serbia, in the municipality of Majdanpek, in the Bor District. It is located on the very bank of the river Danube, near the very important archaeological site Lepenski Vir, which is also the center of the National Park Djerdap. There are just over 3000 inhabitants.
Donji Milanovac is located at an altitude of 75 meters above sea level on the right bank of the river Danube, in Djerdap gorge, in the center of the National Park Djerdap. The city of Majdanpek is situated at a distance of about 22 kilometers, which is also the seat of the municipality of Majdanpek. By the way of formation and appearance, the Djerdap gorge is a composite consisting of four slopes - gorge and three extensions - basins, and it consists of: Upper (Golubacka) gorge, Ljupkovska basin, gorge Virgo Vir, Donjemilanovac basin, gorge Kazan (Veliki and Mali) , the Orsava basin and the Sip gorge. In this part of its flow, the river Danube makes a big "elbow" where the Donjemilanovac basin with 19 km long is located. At that spot the Danube river is about 1800 m wide with stable water level and quiet area (no springs), so there are great opportunities for those who want to ride a boat or enjoy water sports. In the Donjemilanovac basin of the Đerdap lake, downstream from the town, a large tributary, Porečka Reka, flows into the river by the spacious and deep bay.
Hotel Lepenski Vir
The participants of the camp are located in Donji Milanovac at the Lepenski Vir Hotel. The accommodation is in comfortable double and triple rooms with a terrace, bathroom and a TV. The diet is based on full board, with the option of choosing menu for next day.
The hotel has 6 outdoor basketball courts,incuding one that is covered and can be used during bad weather conditions. In some unforeseen weather conditions, there is indoor court located in the town of Donji Milanovac, 300 meters away from the hotel.
In the hotel there is also a pool which to be used in accordance with the program coaches. SPA center is a novelty that greatly contributes to the attractiveness and comfort of staying in the hotel Lepenski Vir. Campers are also provided with a gym, which can also be used whenever is needed (depending on the program of work and the coaches' approval).
Of the other contents, we can mention various entertainment programs - bowling, billiards, table tennis. In case of need it is possible to use a soocker field and a trim track.
